A change of heart: Robin Williams marries for the third time after he previously swore off marriage.

Will the third time be the charm for Robin Williams? We certainly hope so. The comedian married his third wife on Sunday (23.10.11) at the Meadowood Resort in Napa Valley, California. This time Robin Williams, 60, tied the knot with graphic designer Susan Schneider.

 The couple met in mid-2009 and she was at his side nursing him back to health at his LA home following his heart surgery. Robin Williams and Susan started dating almost immediately, and they’ve been together ever since. Famous guests at the nuptials included Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Billy Crystal. Robin’s daughter, actress Zelda, 22, tweeted about her father’s big day:

“Let the wedding madness begin! Dad just called @RobertKazinsky and @ShannonCollis my hetero-lifemates at the wedding. Now everyone thinks I’m a redhead polygamist … The wedding festivities rage on but my tired feet are done. Think it’s time to lay in the tub, eat m&m’s and write. (sic).”-she wrote.

The stunning Meadowood Resort in Napa Valley were the couple tied the knot.

Just days before the nuptials the bride told the San Francisco chronicle she was ‘so excited and thrilled’ about marrying the famous actor.

Robin Williams’ first wife was Valerie Velardi and they were married for ten years before divorcing in 1988. They have a 28-year-old son named Zachary. The funnyman’s second wife was Marsha Garces and their divorce was finalized last year after she filed in 2008. They had two children together, Zelda, 22, and Cody, 19.

After he separated form Marsha, Robin vowed to never walk down the aisle again, saying:

“No sir not again! It’s not just for the financial reasons. But people would think twice about divorce if they had to give up a body part instead of half their fortune.”
