Reese Witherspoon was taken to hospital with minor injuries after being hit by a car last week.

The Oscar winning actress was seen today (14.09.11) sporting a nasty looking black eye and bandage on her forehead from the car accident. Despite the injuries, she cheerfuly unloaded gifts from the trunk of her car. Beside the black eye, Reese Witherspoon also appeared to have a bruise on one of her knees from the fall which happened last Wednesday, when an elderly woman knocked her down as she jogged over a pedestrian crossing.

“The whole incident really frightened her. Now she’s just resting up. The odd thing about all of this, is that Reese has always been very afraid of being hit by a car.”-a source told Us.

The vehicle was travelling at around 20 miles per hour when it hit Reese Witherspoon and the 84-year-old driver was cited for failure to stop for a pedestrian. Just hours before the car accident, Reese was spotted enjoying ice cream with husband Jim Toth and her children Ava, 12, and  Deacon, 7, by former husband Ryan Philippe.
The actress, 36, won’t be pressing charges against the woman.

Holidaying on the Hawaiian beaches: Reese Witherspoon and her look-alike daughter Ava

The 35-year-old Reese Witherspoon was spotted with new hubby Jim Toth spending some quality time on Hawaiian beaches.

The Oscar winning actress was wearing tiny blue bikini, which showed off her toned beach body and a stomach tattoo as well, which appeared to be of a star with two birds surrounding it.

Reese Witherspoon looked happy on the beach, as she spent some family time with her children, Ava 11, and seven-year-old Deacon, from her previous marriage with actor Ryan Phillippe.

Looks like the actress is taking advantage of the children’s free time before their return to school. After she and Jim tied the knot in March, they took Ava and Deacon to Belize for a holiday before heading to Europe where they spent some romantic time in Italy and Paris.

Reese Witherspoon begun seeing Jim in February last year. The couple have been married for more than a four months.

‘Sure, I would love to have more kids. Kids are the best part of my day. I don’t wake up to make movies. I wake up to hang out with my family.’-she told Glamour magazine.

The actress doesn’t rule out adding more children to her family.
