Ne-Yo is dad again. His fiancee gave birth to their second child.

R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo and his fiancee Monyetta Shaw welcomed their second child on Monday (October 10). The name and gender of the newborn have not been released. Ne-Yo and boutique owner Shaw already have one child an 11-month-old daughter Madilyn Grace.

“She’s healthy and happy. Feels like I’m in luv for the first time. Welcoming that lil’ girl to the world last night defined for me what ‘willing to kill and die for’ truly means. My world, my life, all hers (sic)”-the singer tweeted after Grace was born.

Ne-Yo also took to Twitter.com earlier this month to dismiss reports suggesting he had asked his pregnant girlfriend to marry him.

“Thanx for the interest in my personal (life). Know that the day I DO decide to take that step you will hear it from the horse’s mouth (sic).”-, the “Closer” hitmaker, real name Shaffer Smith, wrote.

Ne-Yo is engaged to longtime girlfriend Monyetta Shaw, and the happy couple are expecting their second child together. The singer/producer, 31, and boutique owner Monyetta already have ten-month-old baby daughter Madilyn Grace. Ne-Yo (real name: Shaffer Chimere Smith) welcomed his first child back in November 2010, and was ecstatic about becoming a father.

“Feels like I’m in luv for the first time. Welcoming that lil’ girl to the world last night defined for me what ‘willing to kill and die for’ truly means. My world, my life, all hers.”-Ne-Yo tweeted.

The “Closer” hitmaker has previously said he would only ever consider marrying someone who is independent.

I don’t want someone who’s with me because she needs help paying the rent. My mom worked six jobs to make sure we never needed anything so that’s the kind of woman I’ll marry.-father to be Ne-Yo said.
