Melanie Brown few hours before she gave birth to her third child.

The former Spice Girls singer Melanie Brown, gave birth to her first child with husband Stephen Belafonte at Los Angeles‘ Ceders-Sinai Hospital last night (01.09.2011). The couple welcomed a healthy baby girl.

“Finally our baby arrives,Stephen nearly passed out,Phoenix screamed,I laughed so hard the baby popped out!!! She is just sooo amazing!!”- the former Spice Girl tweeted after she gave birth.

Melanie Brown 36, already has two daughters, 12-year-old Phoenix, and four-year-old Angel, from previous relationships.

Brown recently expressed her frustration at her prolonged pregnancy, tweeting in August:

“I have walked, had a hot curry, a bit of ‘you no what,’ cried at a movie, bounced up and down on work out ball, STILL no labor, any idea’s?”

Mother of three Melanie Brown appeared on the fifth season of the US TV reality show “Dancing with the Stars” in 2007 and is currently a judge on the Australian version of “The X Factor“.

Melanie Brown, Scary Spice is about to pop any time now. She was talking ahead of the birth of her third child, and said she expects her daughters to be more help than her husband when she gets to the vital moment.

The 36-year-old pregnant star, already has two children, Phoenix, 12, and Angel, four. This would be her first child with her husband, movie producer Stephen Belafonte, 35.

“Phoenix and Angel will be there with me during my labour, which is just as well as Stephen will be a complete nightmare. He’ll probably pass out and require medical attention.”

“I pretended to him the other day that I was in labour and he just went white; he didn’t have a clue what to do. He’ll be panicking and probably take us to the wrong hospital.”-pregnant and overdue Melanie Brown said.

Melanie Brown’s new baby will be the first she and second husband Stephen have had together, and will be sister to Phoenix, her daughter with dancer ex Jimmy Gulzar and Angel, her child with movie star Eddie Murphy.

Stephen, who married Melanie in February 2007, already has a daughter Giselle, six, from a previous relationship.
