Yes even Hef, who’s constantly surrounded by the hottest women in the Playboy mansion, was heartbroken, when his fiance Crystal Harris left him, five days before the wedding.
But now, the 85-year-old Hugh Hefner feels blessed, that he didn’t tie the knot with the 25-year-old model.
So why on earth did Hef consider marrying Crystal Harris?
“Quite frankly, I don’t know what I was thinking about. I think my natural state is single.”
“I’ve tried marriage twice, not successfully. These were not the happiest times of my life.” -he admits in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight.
However Hugh Hefner admits he was confused when Crystal Harris ditched him just like that.
“Birthday cards were filled with messages of forever,- Hef said.
‘”You’re the man of my dreams, I’ll love you for the rest of my life.” There was no clue. I didn’t see any of this coming.
‘If you’re having reservations about the person you’ve been with for two-and-a-half years, the logical thing is to sit down and talk about it,’-he told the entertainment show.
Hugh Hefner admits that he and Harris had a ‘very happy’ relationship and that he only really considered marriage in order to give her ‘continuity.’
Harris, was ‘fascinated’ by the Playboy lifestyle and created the illusion that she was ‘over the moon happy”-he said.
