Trent Haaga directed “Chop,” which happens to be an over the top Indie/Slasher Film. One of my favorites along with “Some Guy who Kills People” When I read that Trent Haaga had written “DeadGirl,” I immediately knew that “Chop” was going to be something else and it sure was. “Chop” is an Indie/Slasher film combined with eccentric characters and a raunchy yet funny dialogue.
Timothy Muskatell who plays a man who has finally gotten his act together and clean after being a drug addict and criminal is picked up one day when his car breaks down by a seemingly kind man. However, though he’s done with the drugs and his criminal endeavors, the past is yet not done with him. This stranger that has picked him up after his car broke down has other plans for him.
This is a revenge movie like you’ve never seen, this guy did horrible things to people. In fact, he was a killer himself, but the seemingly kind stranger is going to teach him a lesson he’s never going to forget if he even survives to learn it. He eventually kidnaps him and starts cutting off his limbs and bringing other people from his past to join and take part on this revenge fest and unleash all their rage and anger on him.
Though it sounds totally gruesome and it is, it’s terribly funny just the same. The dialogue couldn’t be raunchier not even if they tried. If you like Indie Films and Horror Flicks, you’re surely going to love this Indie/Slasher/Dark Comedy!
If you enjoy movies such as DeadGirl & Chop you will also love “Some Guy Who Kills People.” Read more about it on Best Indie/Slasher Film of 2011: “Some Guy Who Kills People”
