NBC’s New Series “Grimm” Is Dark & Scary as “Grimm’s Fairy Tales” Were Originally

For all you supernatural enthusiasts and fans. NBC‘s new series, “Grimm,” bring back “Grimm’s Fairy Tales” as they were originally written which was very dark and scary. If you read the original fairy tales which were written by “The Brothers Grimm” which published hundreds of legends in the 1800′s you’d come to see that they weren’t happy stories with “happy ever afters” as we know them today.

NBC’s new series “Grimm,” is presenting these fairy tales and legends as they were originally intended. They’re not really for children as they are very frightening. In the old days, they were told and read to children to scare them into behaving and the likes. Each story provided a lesson, each story had a moral which served children with a “warning

Starring in the new anticipated NBC series, “Grimm,” are David Giuntoli, who plays homicide detective: “Nick Burckhardt.” Also, starring is Saha Roiz who plays “Superior Captain Renard.” Basically, they’re job in the series is as criminal profilers who maintain order between these mythological creatures and human beings.

They both describe the show as being very dark in nature, scenery and promise an assortment of scary, “mythological creatures,” from the original “Grimm Fairy Tales,” by the Brothers Grimm. You can expect to see supernatural/mythological creatures that have not yet been presented in True Blood, such as the “hexenbiests,” which are very beautiful women who transform into the most hideous and scariest of witches, also, expect to see “ziegevolks,” which are goat like men (half men and half goat.) All these creatures are descendants of both stars of the show: Nick BurckhardtSaha Roiz.

This sure sounds like it’s going to be one very scary and dark series based on “Grimm’s Fairy Tales.” NBC‘s new series “Grimm,” will be packed with galore of supernatural activity and creatures. If you’re a fan of such, this is one new series you definitely want to check out. It premieres on Oct. 28 (9 PM  ET) on NBC. Just in time for Halloween, isn’t that thoughtful of the network?
