
George Michael's concerts have been postponed after he fell ill with pneumonia during his tour.
George Michael has been forced to cancel a host of concert dates after being hospitalised in Vienna, Austria, with pneumonia. The former Wham! singer has now postponed three more concerts one last night (23.11.11) in Strasbourg, France, and two in Cardiff on Saturday and Sunday.
“With great regret, George Michael has been forced to postpone his November 26 and 27 shows in Cardiff, Wales, due to his on-going illness. George was recently forced to postpone tour dates in Vienna and Strasbourg under doctor’s orders after being diagnosed with pneumonia. He is currently receiving treatment.”-his rep. said in a statement.
This is the second time the singer has been hospitalised due to illness on his worldwide Symphonica Tour, which started in Prague, Czech Republic in August. Last month, George Michael apologised to fans after he pulled out of his second ‘Symphonica.
”The Orchestral Tour show at London’s Royal Albert Hall because of back problems, a viral infection and high temperature.”-his spokesperson said.
The cancelled Royal Albert Hall concert will now take place in May next year.
