After five months together, Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio have split. The “Inception” star had been dating the “Gossip Girl” actress since May and although they have decided to part ways, representatives for both say the pair told Us Weekly they will “remain friends.

Leonardo DiCaprio, 35, and Blake Lively, 24, were first spotted getting cozy while aboard Steven Spielberg‘s yacht in Monte Carlo on May 17 during the Cannes Film Festival. Despite refusing to confirm their relationship, the two of them were seen on a string of dates throughout the summer, including trips on a yacht in Disneyland, California, and a water taxi in Venice, Italy.

Weeks before he and the beautiful Blake Lively became an item, Leonardo DiCaprio and model Bar Refaeli split after five years together. Back in October 2010, Lively and Gossip Girl costar Penn Badgley ended their three-year romance.

“I have a strong sense of myself. That gives me a sense of security, you know? Every relationship you have, you’re learning and growing and taking something from that. So for me, it’s never been too dramatic of a thing when something ends.”-Blake Lively recently told Glamour magazine.

We don’t know about Leonardo DiCaprio but according to her statement, Lively is unlikely to be down for long, after the split.

It's over: Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez split

Hollywood beauty Cameron Diaz has split from her baseball star boyfriend Alex Rodriguez. The “Charlie’s Angels” actress and New York Yankees player, have ended their year-and-a-half relationship, due to their busy schedules and dedication to their professions.

“They broke up recently. She’s very busy with her career and he’s had injuries and wants to focus on his game. They’re dedicated professionals.”-a source told Us Weekly.

Cameron Diaz, was first rumoured to have split from Alex Rodriguez in June. But the 38-year-old actress recently revealed she realised how much she loved Alex when she let him eat the last of her popcorn at the Superbowl in Miami in February, something she would usually not be happy with.

The split is said to be amicable, as Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez remain good friends.

“They’re still very friendly and like each other. (They have) an enormous amount of respect for each other.”-the source added.

Jay-Z on top on Forbes' Hip-Hop Rich List

Rapper Jay-Z has topped the Forbes Hip-Hop list yet again raking in a mighty $37 million over this past year.

Diddy comes second with $35 million, and Kanye West is on third place with $16 million. According to Forbes editors, Jay-Z’s staggering income was thanks to the success of his world Blueprint tour and other business ventures.

Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collaboration album “Watch The Throne” is set to be released on August 12th after being released digitally on August 8th.

What’s going on here? It seems as though no one can stick to their vows or even make it to the alter these days. Every week we hear of yet another celebrity couple calling it quits. One has to wonder what’s going on with the world today? Has everyone forgotten or given up on commitment? What happen to the days when people got together, made a promise of a lifetime together and actually followed through with it.

If you look around you’ll still find older couples that have stood by each other sides over 50+ years. They’ve stuck it out through all the ups and downs and in and outs; yet remained together and by each others sides. However, when you look at the young couples today they are running for the hills at the first signs of trouble.

Is it that they are looking for perfection? If that’s the case, then all I can say is… Good luck! Perfection simply doesn’t exist, never has and never will. We all have our flaws and no relationship will ever be perfect. Every couple is bound to have disagreements and not see eye to eye at times. After all we were all created differently, raised differently and have our own minds and way of thinking. However, there is this thing called communication and compromise. What happen to meeting each other half way and working things out? Is the concept of till death do us part merely just a fairy tale in todays world? Do the future generations have a chance? Or will marriage become obsolete and merely a story of what used to be?

Actress Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott blessed by happy marriage

Tori Spelling former ‘Beverley Hills 90210‘ star is happy to have good marriage with husband Dean McDermott. The couple has two children, Liam, four, and Stella three-years-old. Tori says it’s shame when Hollywood couples end their marriages, not even trying to work things out. The actress was mostly inspired to say that after the recent split of Jenifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.

“I was really shocked. I was sad. I had a moment where I said ‘Gosh, can no one in Hollywood make it or is marriage just too hard?’

“Dean and I were talking about that today. We are like ‘Gosh, we feel blessed.’ We have a strong happy marriage and it makes me sad especially when there’s children involved.”-she said.

Tori Spelling is currently pregnant with her third child, and added that they still don’t know the sex of their unborn baby but it will be blessing either way.

Katy Perry and Russell Brand: there will be no separaration!

Since Katy Perry and Russell Brand tied the knot in October last year, rumors won’t stop.

Due to their busy schedule, the couple have spent more and more time apart, and of course rumors of a separation increased.

Singer Katy Perry 26, who married  actor Russell Brand 36, in a ceremony in India in October last year, said that just because the couple kept their relationship private, it didn’t mean there was trouble in paradise.

“Just cause we don’t flaunt our relationship doesn’t mean there’s something wrong w/it. Privacy is our luxury.. #tabloidsrtrash #gossipisgross.”-she tweeted.

Russell supported his wife Katy Perry in attempt to deny separation. He wrote on his Twitter page, referring to the current phone hacking scandal surrounding former tabloid newspaper, News Of The World:

“You tell em Mrs Brand! In Britain we’re currently dismantling the scum media so I’m not tuned in to their brain-farting.”

The couple’s statements come as it was claimed earlier this month that they were considering a trial separation in a bid to keep their relationship on the right track.

Cynthia Nixon despite living with fiance Christine Marinori, hasn't change her sexual orientation

‘Sex and the City‘ actress Cynthia Nixon says she hasn’t changed her sexual orientation since falling in love with a woman.

“In terms of sexual orientation, I don’t really feel I’ve changed. I’d been with men all my life, and I’d never fallen in love with a woman. But when I did, it didn’t seem so strange.

The 45-year-old actress has been dating Christine Marinori, who gave birth to the couple’s baby son Max in February, since 2003. Cynthia has two children, Samantha, 14, and Charlie, nine, with her ex-boyfriend Danny Mozes.

“Before I ever dated a woman, I’d go to GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) events and make speeches.

“I did a lot of speaking about funding for public schools, women’s right to choose and breast cancer.”- she told Australia’s Daily Telegraph newspaper.
