One very sexy lizard: Laura Vandervoort for PETA.

Laura Vandervoort is a Canadian actress who portrays Kara Kent on the television series Smallville. The beauty, who is currently filming Ted, with Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis, takes another super role, as she poses for  PETA‘s anti-animal skin campaign.

Laura Vandervoort, 27, posed naked, covered only with body paint. The blonde looks like lizard in a desert, (a very hot one) as she lies provocatively on top of a rock. This new PETA campaign wants to draw attention to the use of reptiles skin in the production of fashion accessories such as handbags and shoes.

“By appearing in her PETA ad as a majestic lizard basking in the sun, Laura reminds us how beautiful reptiles are in their natural habitats- and that that is where they belong.”- said the organisation’s website. 

Laura Vandervoort joins Eva Mendes, Elizabetta Canalis and Alicia Silverstone who have all stripped off and modelled for the charities campaigns in the past.

“Lizards are fascinating animals with unique traits. Most lizards can shed their tails and run, twisting their bodies from side to side, to evade predators. A lot of people think that reptiles don’t feel and they do.”-she said.

Demi Moore models a luxe faux chinchilla stole, a chandelier necklace, and tweed pants, looking nowhere near her age in the chic ensemble.

In one photo the brunette beauty wears beige fur-lined jacket and sparkly miniskirt, while showing her slender legs surrounded by snow-laden Christmas tree.She also models a fitted jeans and an open-neck white shirt as she perches on a stool, showing her slender figure. Demi Moore’s newest shoot will feature in this year’s December magazines.

This is the second time the actress has featured in the designer’s campaigns. She was also shot by fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier for Ann Taylor’s Fall 2011 campaign.
