MTV Video Music Awards best moments and winners!
It was definitely ladies night at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
So who were the night’s big winners?
Katy Perry who won three Moon Men (her first-ever) including Video of the Year for “Firework“.
British singer Adele, who won three trophies for her mega-hit “Rolling in the Deep” (and received a standing ovation for her stunning live performance of “Someone Like You“)
Justin Bieber, who had his pet snake with him all the time, took the prize for Best Male Video.
Lady Gaga, who showed up as her male alter ego Jo Calderone, accepted Best Female Video award for “Born This Way“.
And Britney Spears who arned a major achievement award and hasn’t yet turned 30, along with the Best Pop Video Award for “Till The World Ends“.
The biggest surprise, and maybe the best moment on the MTV Video Music Awards, was Beyonce‘s announcement that she and rapper Jay-Z are expecting their first child.
The night’s emotional highlight came when Russel Brand took the stage to make a tribute to the late British singer, Amy Winehouse.

In just a month Beyonce will be turning 30, and the singer has been reflecting on an amazing decade.
She admits performing in Egypt just two months before the country’s uprising started was a memorable experience. Beyonce found it incredibly moving to see Egyptian women wearing burkas and singing along to her song Irreplaceable, while many of their male partners standing nearby, obviously unamused.
“There were a lot of women in the audience in burkas. They were singing along to Irreplaceable – it was amazing!”
“Some of the men got really upset! They were like to their women, “We have to get you out of here!”….I guess some of them (men) do get annoyed. But I never want to do “the banner thing”.-Beyonce says for Harper’s Bazaar Magazine.
Beyonce is a feminist, so she finds it strange to see females who only socialise with males.
“I’m afraid when women never hang around with other women. That’s a little scary to me – why is that?”-she says.
The former Destiny’s Child singer Beyonce is now preparing to turn 30 on September 4, marking the end of her very busy 20s.
“This is such a pivotal moment in my life! I’m transitioning as a woman, and I’m finally able to express myself as I am.”-she tells Harper’s Bazaar.

Beyonce not yet to baby making
Beyonce has opened up about her relationship with Jay-Z, her break from music and her plans for the future after her performance on ‘The View‘ yesterday.
The singer also revealed that she might not get down to the baby making just yet. Although Beyonce had always planned to have children at the age of 30, she confessed that when she made those plans, 30 seemed far away.
“My priorities have changed because I have accomplished so much. I just want to make music that makes people feel. It’s really exciting to be at this point in my life – I’m turning 30 years old and I feel like I really know who I am.”-Beyonce said.
She recently took some time off from her hectic career and says she loved every minute of it because she got to watch Jay-Z perform as a fan.
“I took some time off. I went to see museums, ballets, the Great Wall of China, the Louvre – everywhere I had been to but never got to see. I got the chance to see the (Jay-Z) shows in the audience, which I had never been able to do, so I was really inspired.”-the bootyliciuos Beyonce adds.
