Who will play Amy in Amy Winehouse film? Actress hunt continuous!
A film about Amy Winehouse‘s life is in development with bosses already looking for an actress to play the late star.
TV stations have approached Winehouse’s family to get permission to turn her life into a serialised film.
“The feeling is there wouldn’t be an actress under 30 who wouldn’t want to play her. The first job is to get financial backing from co-production companies in the US. Some are showing interest because it’s a sure-fire money-spinner.”-source close to the family told The Sun.
Amy Winehouse was famous for her various looks and an incredible vocal talent, so the actress who will play her will have a really tough job getting it right.
One star reportedly interested in playing Amy in the film is Lady Gaga, who previously stated when she started her career people used to mistake her for the ‘Rehab‘ singer, and was so shocked when she heard of her untimely passing, she claimed she couldn’t speak for 48 hours.
“Lady Gaga worshiped Amy Winehouse, and would love nothing more than to transform herself into her idol on the big screen. She’d be spot on performing Amy’s songs and has got the right look and attitude.”-source told the Daily Star.

Amy Winehouse's Home is set to be the headquarters of her new rehab charity
The father of Amy Winehouse is considering using his daughter’s last home as the headquarters of a foundation being set up in her memory.
“The house is an option being talked about. No decision has been made as yet”- spokesman for the family told Sky News Online.
After the ‘Rehab‘ singer, who battled drink and drug addiction, was found dead at her £2.5 million home in Camden, north London, on July 23, her dad Mitch has revealed plans to make a “positive difference” by making the house the focal point of the Amy Winehouse Rehab Foundation.
“It could include help for children in trouble, kids suffering health problems, children’s hospices and more. We want to make a positive difference.”-Mitch Winehouse said.
Amy Winehouse’s family had reportedly planned on selling the home, but decided against it after concluding the place where Amy had died was “too precious” for anyone else to live in.
“They don’t want to rent it out and if they sold it they think it could attract the wrong kind of buyer as it was where Amy passed away. They may sell one day but that would be some way off.”-a source told The Sun newspaper.
The rehab foundation is going to help thousands of people. That is Amy’s legacy.”- Mitch Winehouse Tweeted.

Amy Winehouse's home to be converted into the headquarters for the Amy Winehouse Rehab Foundation

The death of Amy Winehouse had struck the core of many musicians that loved and respect her. Most have never met her in person, but that didn’t take away their appreciation for the talented singer. On August 3, Coldplay Tribute To Amy Winehouse At UCLA, for the Grammy Foundation benefit gig.
During the concert they had added a bit of Winehouse’s “Rehab” song. Chris Martin played a slow and jazz organ progression during the chorus before jumping right into their hit song “Fix You.”
The fans truly appreciated this tribute as they sang along with the chorus.
The song titled “Fix You,” was originally written by Chris Martin in 2002 for his wife Gwyneth Paltrow to help her deal with the death of her own father.
Moby played at the same festival in Serbia, the Belgrade’s Tubrog Festival which is where Amy Winehouse gave her final performance before her untimely death. Moby reminisces on that night and says he was “horrified, ” as he watched her onstage. Moby says he wanted to help. Why didn’t you then?
Amy Winehouse was booed by her fans as she stumbled around the stage and would just zone out at other times. Why would anyone allow this? Why didn’t her people and friends just take her off the damn stage? I bet all those fans that were booing her feel crunchy as hell now, now that she’s gone. That is no way to treat someone that has only given you good music to listen to and inspiration to feed from. Shame on you and shame on you, Moby!
Moby could have been the bigger, better person and shown Amy Winehouse off the stage, especially that he’s struggled with drug abuse in his younger years.
I suppose, Moby was worried about his own performance. Amy Winehouse sure served as a buffer to any foul up he might have had. People are such sell outs.
Anyway, Moby explains: The moment I got out of the car, I knew something was wrong. From backstage, I could hear the audience booing louder than the music. He then watched as Amy Winehouse’s performance from the side of the stage.” Moby says: “Amy was just standing there, swaying back and forth and mumbling occasionally. The band were playing quietly and looking uncomfortable, and the audience was looking on in disbelief.”
What’s really unbelievable is how people just watched Amy from the sidelines without helping her out. Obviously, she was in some kind of a black out and didn’t know what she was doing. Moby says she was onstage for about 30 minutes, then she finally left the stage to go lie down on a flight case backstage with a bunch of people surrounding her…Moby said: “I was horrified.”
Moby also stated: “What I saw of myself in Amy was, simply, the love of drinking and using drugs and existing in a chemically altered state of consciousness. I know a lot of addicts, and a significant percentage sadly don’t survive.”
Moby sounds like a self righteous pig, he really didn’t say anything that anyone else couldn’t have figured out by themselves. The point really is, if you’ve been there and you’ve had people pick your ass up off the floor or what not, couldn’t you have done that for a fellow musician? Beyond that, as a person, if you see someone in such distress and you’ve been in a similar situation wouldn’t you want to step in and call someone or do something?
Moby is despicable and I really don’t like him much anymore. He should have just kept his mouth shut, because he just sounds like a piece of garbage, he’s not even worthy of calling himself an addict. He’s simply an asshole that has to sample Nina Simone songs for actual Soul music, something Amy Winehouse never had to do…
What are your thoughts on Moby’s comments about Amy Winehouse’s last performance? Do you think he should have stepped up and said or done anything? Drop your comments and opinions, we’d love to hear your input here at Big Celebrity Blog.
